Friendship : My Best Friends and Sisters

I'm not going to give you any friendship quotes or ideas to make friends. This post is just my expression of feelings towards my best friends whom I earned during my college days. The below photograph contains the images of my best buddies(girls) during our college days along with the smart Arun Sankar standing with them. This picture misses someone who is equally important and I shall write about her later.

The one standing to your extreme right is 'A'fsha. The extraordinary person who always fights with me - we are just like tom and jerry. Of course who plays tom and who plays Jerry differs often according to the situation. I like this idiot very much because she is damn open to me on whaterver I do. She tells me or yells me whatever she thinks on my actions. The comments will be fired openly on my face. I never had a choice to skip the wrath of her. But this attitude makes person very important to me.

The one who stands near Mr.Smart in blue is the tranquil person "Ramya". Her character is just the opposite of the person about whom I just discussed. Whenever I have a problem, I call this deep blue sea to shed out my feelings and emotions. If I do the same with Afsha, then I have to face the wrath of her. She has been a tree when I neeeded shade, a blanket when I shiverred and she can take any form when needed to make me feel better. Rams as we call her is one person whom I can't afford to miss in my life.

The person who has applied the so called creams and wearing a royal costume with jewellery just had her special occasion that transformed her from Miss. Raji Priyanga to Mrs. Raji Priyanga. She was my first close friend in college. Her character stands between the two that I've just wrote. But something is very special about her. I had this person for the last 6 years continuously where ever I go. We have been part of the same club, members of the same editorial board and working in the same organization. More than all these that I've mentinoed the trust that Raji has kept on me is priceless. She never lost trust on me and never turned her back against me on any occasion.

If you think these are the only things that I have to say about these girls, then you are absolutely wrong. I can write a book on each one of them. I love these idiots that much. However I missed one idiot Deepika. I'll write a separate post on her ;-)

I don't want to miss any of these 4 idiots in my life. But once they get married they can't stay in touch like how they are now. This has already happened with two and shortly will happen to the other two as well. But I can be certain that the love, affection and care that we share will never change. The distance may be greater between us and might also increase everyday, but I'm sure that we can be at each other's shoulders in a single call. I can't express all my feelings in one post as I stated earlier. So just consider this as the first and I shall write sequels when I find time. I'm sure that next time I won't miss Deepika.

Lunch Recipes : Easy Cooking | Egg Recipe (Muttai Kulambu Recipe) | Tamil Nadu Style

Hello Foodies, this post will be helpful for people who want to practice easy cooking and want to cook delicious egg curry in Indian style. I'm no chef, but I've been cooking for the past 8 months (bachelor fate). This cooking recipe will be different from the other egg curry recipes. But trust me it will be worth trying. As per the saying, "Practice makes a man perfect", I've experimented several times and I'm able to cook delicious egg curry during weekends. I'll share you my experience and give you the procedure to cook the best egg curry. By saying "best", it's again for bachelors like me and not for experienced hands ;-) Trust me, cooking is so good that it has become my best hobby. Let me start with the procedure now.

Ingredients

Cocunut - 1/2 cup (to grind)
Onion - 300 grams (150 g to grind & 150 g to cook)
Tomato - 150 grams
Mustard - 1 Table spoon
Sesame Oil - 3 Table spoons
Curry leaves - As per the requirement and your mindset
Egg curry powder (better to buy Aachi or Sakthi masala)
Chilli powder - As per taste requirement
Salt - As per taste requirement
Eggs - 5

Easy Cooking : How to cook Egg Curry

• Grind the cocunut and onion along with a table spoon of chilli powder in your mixer grinder.
• Make sure that the vessel you use for cooking is dry and place it on the stove. I use induction stove for cooking. But it will be great if you have a gas connection.
• Now pour the sesame oil in the vessel and once the oil is hot enough, add mustard to it. It will be much safer if you use an armour(or just stay far ;-) ) to protect yourself from the boiling oil after you add mustard to it.
• After this add some curry leaves and fry it for a few seconds.
• Add the onion slices that you have cut and fry it until the onion slices turn to golden brown.
• After you see this golden brown color, add the tomatoes that you have cut. Fry them along with the onions. Add some salt and the chilli powder while frying.
• Now add water enough to make the contents of the vessel drown and add the cocunut - onion paste.
• After this step, add the egg curry powder(2 - 3 Tbsp) and just sit back.Let the contents of the vessel boil for a while (around 10 to 15 mins).
• Once you see the hot bubbles and you're able to smell the mix, just break the egg shells and just add it along with the contents of the vessel. (No need to boil it before adding)
• Don't stir too much, you might end up breaking the yolk of the egg.
• Now try tasting the curry. You might find that you are missing something. Don't worry. I feel the same everytime. This is just because I don't want to spoil the curry by adding salt and chilli powder much. So after this step, add salt, egg curry powder and chilli powder to fulfil your senses.
• I warn you again, don't stir too much after you add eggs.

This recipe that I've described here, is how I cook egg curry. I know that people boil eggs and cut it into two before adding it to the curry . But this will be a different easy cooking technique to cook egg curry for easy lunch. I shall add photos to this post with each step in a few days, so that it will be easy for you to know how I cook egg curry.

24*7 – No! It’s not the customer care

One great thing about Cognizant is that, you can work during any time of the day according to your convenience. You can walk into the office 24*7. Unlike some organizations, which impose timing restrictions on employees Cognizant gives freedom of work timings. The sweet is sweeter. No one cares about how many hours you have worked. EOD what is noted is the value for money. You should have accomplished the tasks that have been assigned to you. That’s it. You’ve earned your pass.

Mad Math - Addition is fun

Who might have thought that addition could make you feel happy and the fact is it does. 

“Employees can avail ‘N’ number of X leaves, ‘M’ number of Y leaves” – Company Statement. 

Now what will not be there is our holiday planner. If you only avail ‘N’ number of X leaves for the year, then your ‘M’ number of Y leaves gets deposited for the next year. Yeah! It’s twice the fun next year and you have made a wise investment for the future years too. ;-)

Stuck? Savior sits next to you

Problems are common in IT industry. In a company like Cognizant that works on thousands of projects, we can expect a few hundreds on a daily basis. Our best pal Google might not help us at times or because of our frequent questions he might give us terrible and irrelevant answers. 

What should we do? Think. Think. What’s next? Doomed? Absolutely not. Just turn your head in any direction, you’ll find “Saviors”. Just approach them and your job is done. Cognizant does have a rich set of experienced professionals in every domain in the industry. So all you need to do is stretch yourself and take a few steps.

Let’s ask Eswar, “Dude! It’s a great company. It’s like TCS or even better. Man I forgot, it’s a 
Multinational Company”.

The question passes on to Peter, “Yeah, I know the company. I’ve seen in several places in 
Chennai. It’s a very big company and many people work there”.

Now it’s Arun(not me), “Cognizant is our competitor. They are really good in doing what they do. They aren’t just ordinary competitors, they really give a tough competition to us. They even offer packages similar to us”.

These are just 3 answers. We can have millions of responses. Eswar is a college student, Peter is a cab driver and Arun is a manager in an IT company similar to Cognizant. Everyone has their own view of the company, starting from a budding engineer, going through a common man to a manager. But all those views are similar on one ground. Cognizant is valuable.

Now what is the Mercedes Effect? Walk outside, get peter again and ask him which the best car is, you can expect “Benz” as an answer since he is a local car driver. Several others just know Mercedes & BMW. Now, that according to them ranks the highest among cars since they don’t know much about Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc.(Just assume Google, Microsoft, etc). Hence, when you walk with Cognizant’s tag hanging around, you are “Branded” among the Maruti or Honda standing beside you.

Interest – More Interesting

In case you’re wondering what I am going to talk about, it is “Interest” it really is. Hell Yeah!! 

You can avail loans from banks at very less interest rates compared to others, even your friends who work in other companies or people who do business. It is the same “Mercedes Effect” that comes into existence. Banks know that we are from a big brand and they will give you loans for a lesser interest rate when compared to your friend who earns more than you. Well, now this might end up in broken hearts among friends if not taken proper care.

Wow!! It's good to know that you are still with me. If you have come up to this line then 
probably we might have similar tastes and likes. Let me pause this and meet you in my next 
post. Don’t worry, it won’t be Cognizant again. 

"NOT BAD" in your 20's

Love - not bad at any age. But be careful at this age while choosing the right person and also make sure that you don't compromise on other things due to your love.

Career - Of course, you will give proper importance to this if you are wise enough. But make sure that you don't postpone things and rest during your early 20s. This is the beginnig and most crucial stage of your career. Giving importance to your career in the early 20s is definitely not bad.

Respect - Most people in their 20s start earning and many even start flying because of that. But everyone out there needs to be respected. Ensuring that you respet is not bad.

Small & Big : Yes! It's small and big at the same time. I mean the fun that you have looks small. But when you are old and turn back, those will be your biggest memories. So never miss your fun part in your 20s. This again is not bad but the best.
