WhatsApp -
the Facebook owned instant messaging app has acquired a new dimension today.
WhatsApp has announced that it's users will now be able to use WhatsApp from
their web browsers. According to the official blog post, the browser mirrors
all the conversations and messages from your mobile devices, which means all
those messages are still on your phone as well.
How to connect your web
browser to WhatsApp?
To
connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client, simply open https://web.whatsapp.com in your Google
Chrome browser. You will see a QR code --- scan the code inside of WhatsApp,
and you’re done. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp
web client. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web
client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp
on your phone.
Unfortunately,
Apple users will have to wait to use this feature as this is not available to
them yet. This facility is now available to Android, BlackBerry, BB10 and
Windows phone users.
To my knowledge, my manager is not going to appreciate this ;-)
