There has always been a
significant change in everything over time. Relationships aren’t an exception.
“How long are you in love?” was the most frequent question before a few years
among youth, if not in the rest of the world, at least in India. As time passed,
this has changed into a different question “How many times were you in love? “
It may look like having fun or even some great achievement to a few people when
they see others who were in multiple relationships. But there is a hard truth
behind it. Every time a relationship breaks up there is an enormous pain
involved between the couple.
Since Valentine’s Day is
approaching, I know that there will be only a handful of people who wouldn’t
give a damn about it and stay tuned for the India – Pakistan match on February
15. The rest, single or people who are already in a relationship will have
plans for their big day of the year. People who are single and trying to
achieve something great on this day, “The Valentine’s day” , this is not a post
on things to do on Valentine’s day, but please take a break and continue
reading.
The major reason for the change
of question as mentioned above is falling in love blindly without knowing
the compatibility with the other person. Of course, it feels great when you
walk with a partner who looks damn hot making your friends jealous. How long will
these looks matter? Maybe 1 to 2 years. Ask yourself what you will do after
that if your partner has an entirely different view on everything. Things will
end up pretty bad. If you fall for a funny partner just because he’s funny,
trust me he/she is not going to be a Charlie Chaplin till the end.
When you choose, keep in mind
that in a few years you will not even have sufficient time to spend, but the
relationship has to survive. The looks that pleased you once will disappear and
trust me you aren’t going to like a funny partner when you have enough on your
plate in the next few years. If you think that a person with a don’t care
attitude is the one who can impress you, then you will know what care means
when you need it, which will eventually lead to the development of hatred with
the person whom you loved the most.
If you fail to choose a compatible
partner there will always be some kind of misunderstanding between the two of
you and no one’s going to be happy because of that. Not even the POTUS can stop
the war between you. Don’t fall for an incompatible person because that fall is
going to hurt you pretty bad and you will have no one but you to blame for it.
This is not a piece of cloth that you buy once in a month that can be changed.
This is a relationship and it has the essence of life in it.
All I tell you is just think for
a minute before you make the choice. Hope you understand the criticality of
compatibility. If you feel you have something to add, please use the comment
